PRESCRIPTION LENS
Flat sport frames that let light in from all directions
have become a thing of the past. And Wiley X is one
of the few companies that can prescribe frames with an 8 base curvature.
Simply select a lens shade and coating and Wiley X will
fill the frame of your choice with the most impact resistant lens
material there is. Bronze Brown, Clear as Crystal, Lightning Yellow
and Neutral Slate tints are available with the options of adding our
12-coat, crimson red, silver, or blue mirror finish. We also offer
the option of having your prescription filled with polarized lenses
for added glare reduction.
All Wiley X Eyewear will accept
prescription lenses with the exception of the following models: B-2,
CQC, FL-1, FL-2, Icon, P-36, PT-1, Saber and Squeeze.
These options are not listed on the website, so
just type in which method you would like in the comments box and the
difference will be charged when we receive the order. Neither of these
options are available for APO orders or orders for mirrored lenses.

Questions & Answers
Q: Can I get a bifocal prescription for my Wiley
X sunglasses?
A: NO BI-FOCAL PRESCRIPTIONS ACCEPTED. SINGLE VISION ONLY.
Q: Which Wiley X models accept prescription lenses?
A: 50°, 100°, 480°, JP-1, JP-2, JP-3, P-17, P-23, P-38,
P-44, Romer, Romer II, SG-1, XL-1, XL-1 Flame & XL-3.
Q: What type of prescription lenses does Wiley X
offer?
A: Transitional, Polarized, Mirrored and Non-Polarized.
Q: What material are Wiley X prescription lenses
make out of?
A: The prescription lenses in your Wiley X are made of polycarbonate
material. Polycarbonate is the safest most impact resistant prescription
lens available. It will be fabricated to exacting standards, and while
not a Z87.1 safety lens, it will meet and exceed the drop-ball testing
standard for such a lens. Dealers in the state of New Jersey should
especially take note of this.
Q: Will my Wiley X sunglasses still be interchangeable
with prescription lenses?
A: When prescription lenses are made for any of the glasses (except
the SG-1), they are no longer interchangeable. That means that they
can only hold one set of prescription lenses in each frame. Even though
some of these styles are interchangeable without prescription lenses,
the lab has to glue the lenses in when they prescript them. These
glasses will not come with the additional lenses that would ordinarily
come with the non-prescription package.
Q: Can Wiley X prescript non Wiley X sunglasses
A: No. Nice try.
