Panoptx Provides Vision "Six Feet Under"
Revolutionary Brand of Eyewear to be Featured on Award-Winning HBO Original Series

PLEASANTON, Calif. (April 09, 2002) Panoptx®, creator of the ultimate Windless Eyewear, is seeing stars as it debuts on "Six Feet Under," the critically acclaimed, dark comic drama series airing Sunday nights on HBO®.

Panoptx will be featured in episode nine of "Six Feet Under," titled "Someone Else's Eyes" airing on April 28, 2002. The leading character, Nate Fisher, inherits a motorcycle and begins to experience the "biker lifestyle" by sporting a helmet and Panoptx Windless Eyewear throughout the show. "Six Feet Under" purposely chose Panoptx Windless Eyewear to protect Peter Krause's (Nate Fisher) eyes from wind, dust and debris during scenes of him riding the motorcycle. The Panoptx black Cyclone model with Shooter Yellow lens will be featured.

"We are extremely excited to be included in 'Six Feet Under,'" says Joel Olney, Panoptx senior vice president. "The first season of the show was a runaway success and the scenes in which Panoptx are featured really demonstrate the personality and function of the product."

"Six Feet Under" stars Peter Krause (Nate Fisher), Michael C. Hall (David Fisher), Frances Conroy (Ruth Fisher) and Lauren Ambrose (Claire Fisher) as an entertainingly dysfunctional family running a funeral home in Los Angeles. The program is the winner of two 2001 Golden Globe awards and has received Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and American Film Institute (AFI) award nominations.

Cyclone frames are equipped with Panoptx' proprietary Ocular Surround System™ (OSS™) eyecup for the ultimate in visual protection and versatility. Complete with venting apertures and anti-fog lenses, the Cyclone also features a patented Orbital Seal™ made of soft, medical grade foam lined with an innovative micro-fleece fiber skin to completely enclose and protect the eye as well as wick sweat and water away from the face.

The Cyclone also offers enhanced venting as well as a redesigned bridge, which enables it to fit smaller faces. Shooter Yellow is a polycarbonate lens featuring a quartz hard-coat resistant to scratching, 50% visible light transmission and 100% UV block.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is Panoptx?
Panoptx is a revolutionary brand of eyewear that combines the benefits of a goggle with the style of a sunglass. Panoptx sportglasses are designed for speed. It is the best eyewear product on the market for motorcycle riding, recreational skiing, sailing and many other sports.

2) What makes Panoptx different from other sunglasses?
Panoptx combines the best frame materials with the most sophisticated lens technology available to enhance vision during physical activity. They are called "Windless" because they feature a patented "orbital seal" that keeps out wind, dirt, snow and other damaging elements. They also block 100 percent of the sun’s harmful UV rays.

3) Where can I purchase a pair of Panoptix?
You can purchase Panoptx right here on our site in the Buy section. If you’d rather buy them in a store, the Buy section features a link to our special Dealer Database, which will help you find a retail dealer near you.

4) How much do they cost?
Panoptx range from $95 to $165 U.S. dollars, depending on which style and lens you select.

5) How do I choose the style and lens that’s right for me?
First, check our Products and Lens Demo pages for more information on frame styles and lens options available, and determine which would work best for your activity. (Be sure to try out our Lens Demo to decide which lens you prefer.) You can then click into our Buy page, customize a pair of Panoptx that suits you and purchase them online. For a closer look, write down your preferences and take them to a dealer near you (which you can find through our Dealer Database).

6) I notice the glasses have a foam seal around the frames. Can that be removed?
No, you should not remove the foam seal. It is a key part of the Panoptx design that ensures the eye remains comfortably protected from the elements.

7) Will these glasses fog up?
Panoptx sportglasses feature advanced Anti-Fog coatings to prevent this from happening. In the rare occasions when it does occur, it is typically the result of extreme conditions. If fogging persists in average use, please contact our warranty department at 925-484-0292.

8) Are Panoptix available for prescription lenses?
The Venturi, Cyclone, Raptor and the Sabre Cat are currently available for prescription. The Vapor is not. Keep your eyes peeled though; we have new styles on their way designed to accommodate Rx.

9) Can my prescription be filled through my doctor?
Yes. Simply have your Doctor contact us at 925-484-0494 to open an account. Note: All Panoptx eyewear is patented, and the assembly of our product is proprietary. To ensure our prescription customers experience the same extraordinary performance results with our products, we must have the process conducted in-house.

10) Do these glasses come with a warranty?
We warranty all Panoptx eyewear against defects in materials and manufacturing for a period of one year from the date of purchase. For additional warranty information, please consult our Warranty page, or call us at 925-484-0292.

11) What happens when the warranty expires?
We charge a minimal fee for repairs. The prices for repairs are detailed on the Products page.

12) What is the turnaround time for repairs and order?
We will ship out your Panoptix repair within one week from the date we receive it. Orders for new product are shipped within 24 hours of receipt (excluding weekends).

13) Your Products page mentions a 15 percent restocking fee. Why is this fee necessary?
All returned products must complete a rigorous quality control process to ensure they are in good condition to sell. The restocking fee covers the cost of the process.

14) Do you have a catalog?
Yes. You can request a copy by sending us an email at sales@panoptx.com.

15) Are there any new products in the works?
Yes! We will have new styles available very soon. Be sure to check our site often for updates on exciting new innovations at Panoptx.
