Paul Teutul Sr. founder of OCC began his chopper building career after achieving success in the ironwork fabricating world. Pursuing his passion of motorcycles as more than just a personal pursuit in his down time OCC was born. He recruited his son Paul Jr. {who had also worked in his father’s ironwork business} as chief fabricator and designer in 1999. Orange County Choppers jumped into the scene at Daytona Biketoberfest with the introduction of their custom bike “True Blue”. True Blue was built by Paul Sr. in his basement. Since then their theme bikes and custom OCC choppers have made major statements at shows and rallies across the United States. With the onset of their hit Discovery Channel show American Chopper they and their OCC custom choppers are recognized worldwide. The Teutul’s, Paul Sr., Paul Jr. and Mikey along with the rest of their impressive crew at Orange County Choppers have given us great insight of their lives, philosophies, and of course their truly distinguishable OCC style!

Jesse James of Monster Garage made the statement "Pay Up Sucker" famous. Most of us spent our childhood playing with Lincoln Logs and Tonka toys, but not Jesse James — he began riding motorcycles when he was only 7 years old, and was tearing down motors when he was 10. Inspired by the "old-school metalworkers who never got the credit they deserved" for their art, Jesse James started his own custom Chopper business, West Coast Choppers, in 1989, operating out of his mothers garage.
